You are entitled to nothing but the simple fact that you need to earn everything.

Isn’t that some shit though? You may think you’re entitled to the truth from somebody. You’re not. In order to gain anything from a person, you have to earn it. You have to build a relationship with someone and create that respect with one another to earn anything from them. Their friendship, trust, loyalty, love, it all has to be earned.

Fact of the matter is that no one owes you a thing. A complete stranger owes you nothing and even your best friend owes you nothing. It’s the truth. It’s also sad if you think about it because often times even when you’ve earned everything, they still give you nothing in return. Even when you’ve been there for them through thick and thin, you’ve supported them, and even given them everything of your being, they sometimes still do not acknowledge what you deserve.

That is the sad truth; sometimes earning it just isn’t enough. That’s when you just need to walk away. Honestly, you can only give so much of yourself until you realize that you don’t need to be unappreciated any longer.
